In July 2010, when IBM acquired BigFix, Inc., there was a lot of work to do. The company’s products for managing and automating security and compliance updates were a natural fit for the Tivoli® portfolio of IBM Software Group. But to really bring the BigFix organization, products and marketing programs into the IBM family, a complete rebranding was necessary.

Nine documents, 72 pages, 17,000 words and more than a dozen new graphics later, the rebranding was ready for unveiling. Thanks to DeLaune and Associates.

Over a two-month period, the DeLaune team worked closely with IBM and BigFix teams to write and design white papers, solution briefs and data sheets that would describe the new offerings and demonstrate how the IT management capabilities of BigFix technology would meet business needs. Rebranded as IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager, infused with IBM messaging and designed in compliance with IBM graphic standards, the BigFix technology-based offerings then made a smooth transition to being integral components of IBM’s solutions for today’s smarter computing environments.
