DeLaune and Associates Hires New Copywriter
AUSTIN, TX—Matt Slagle has been hired as a copywriter for DeLaune and Associates, a full-service public relations, advertising and marketing firm based in Austin. He will be responsible for many of DeLaune’s writing and editing projects.
Slagle has more than a decade of experience as a writer and editor for The Associated Press, where he covered a wide variety of business, financial, technology, political, sports, and breaking news stories across the country. His articles have appeared in top print, broadcast, and online publications worldwide. More recently, Slagle served as a public relations manager for Sony Corp., where he coordinated all publicity efforts for the company’s Austin video game studio.
“Matt comes to our firm with a diverse background in news and public relations, and we feel that his unique skill set will mesh incredibly well with our current clients and our areas of specialization,” says Renee DeLaune, founder and president of DeLaune and Associates. “We’re excited to have him on board.”
Slagle has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University.
